How we clean a roof, step by step

We start with a walk-round survey from ground level to check tile condition, moss coverage and access before any water goes near the roof. Thick moss growth gets hand-scraped off first — never scraped dry against the tile, always carefully, to avoid lifting anything that's already loose.

Once the bulk of the growth is off, we apply a biocide softwash treatment across the whole roof at low pressure. This kills remaining spores and algae at the root rather than just rinsing the surface, which is what keeps regrowth slower afterwards. Gutters get checked and cleared as part of the same visit, since moss and grit inevitably end up in them.
