Moss Removal & Roof Treatment, Low Fell

We clean roofs across NE9 and the surrounding postcodes using softwash, steam or low-pressure methods depending on the roof, always working from ground level or access equipment rather than walking the tiles. It's a slower way of working, but it's the one that doesn't crack a slate to save ten minutes.

Left alone it doesn't stop at looking untidy. Trapped moisture works into laps and nail fixings, slates start to slip, and gutters fill with the grit that washes off as it rains. A proper clean and biocide treatment stops that cycle before it turns into a repair bill.

Our roof cleaning is softwash-based: a biocide treatment applied at low pressure that kills moss, lichen and algae without disturbing the tiles or forcing water up under the laps the way high-pressure jetting does. Where moss has built up thick, we scrape it off by hand first, then treat what's left.
