Driveway & Patio Pressure Washing in Middlesbrough

Pressure washing for driveways, patios, paths, yards and walls near Middlesbrough. Re-sanding, sealing and stain treatment available. Insured local specialists.

We pressure wash driveways, patios, paths, yards and walls across Middlesbrough and the surrounding TS1 area, using rotary surface cleaners for speed on open ground and hand lances for edges, steps and detail.

When did you last see the actual colour of your driveway? For a lot of homes in Middlesbrough it's been a while - block paving, tarmac and concrete all darken gradually under a film of algae and grime until the original shade is barely a memory.

Middlesbrough sits in North Yorkshire with the kind of damp, mild weather that suits algae and moss far better than it suits driveways. Block paving, natural stone and tarmac around the area all pick up the same green-black film over a year or two of rain and low sun.

Parking and vehicle access during the job

We ask that vehicles are moved off the driveway or area being cleaned before we arrive where possible, since it lets us cover the whole surface in one pass rather than working around a parked car.

For patios and yards behind the house, side access wide enough for a hose and equipment is normally all that's needed - we'll ask about this when confirming the booking.

Covering Middlesbrough and the wider Middlesbrough Council area

Within Middlesbrough Council, Middlesbrough is one of the areas we visit most regularly for pressure washing, alongside neighbouring towns and villages across the same council area.

That regularity means we're familiar with common local surfaces - from older stone paths to modern block-paved estates - and can generally offer a prompt appointment rather than a long wait.

Render, brick and painted walls

  • Walls need the gentlest approach of anything we clean - render and paintwork can be damaged by direct high-pressure jetting, and old brick pointing can be washed out the same way jointing sand is. We use a soft-wash technique on walls, often with a biocide treatment, rather than a direct pressure jet.

What we do - and what we deliberately don't

We do match pressure to surface: firm on sound block paving and concrete, low and controlled on tarmac, gentle soft-wash settings on render, brick and painted walls.

We don't run maximum pressure across everything to save time - it's the fastest way to blast out jointing sand, pit soft stone or strip paint, and it makes the next clean come round faster because the surface is left more porous.

We do offer re-sanding and sealing where it will genuinely help; we don't push sealing on surfaces where it isn't needed just to add to the bill.

Working across several surfaces in one visit

  1. 1

    Walk the whole site

Driveway, patio, path, yard and any walls are assessed together so pressure and method are planned per area.

  2. 2

    Start with the hardest surface

We usually begin with block paving or concrete, which takes firmer pressure, before moving to gentler surfaces.

  3. 3

Move to tarmac and softer areas

Pressure is dropped for tarmac paths or drives, and walls get a soft-wash pass rather than a direct jet.

  4. 4

    Detail pass

Edges, steps, gate posts and wall bases are finished by hand lance once the main areas are done.

  5. 5

    Final check and tidy

Run-off is checked, equipment cleared, and the whole site reviewed before we finish up.

Homes & businesses

Forecourts and business frontages

First impressions matter more for a business than a home, and a stained, algae-streaked forecourt or entrance path undermines that before a customer even reaches the door. We work with businesses around TeesAMP (Advanced Manufacturing Park) to keep frontages presentable without disrupting trade.

Victorian terrace front paths and yards

Terraced Victorian streets surround the town centre. Narrow front paths, original stone flags and small rear yards are common on these older terraces, and the tight, often shaded layout means algae and moss build up faster than on an open driveway.

Original stone flags need a gentler touch than modern paving - we use lower pressure and more passes rather than blasting at full power, which protects worn or slightly uneven flags from further wear.
