Middlesbrough is about twenty-eight miles south of our Washington base, inside the 45 miles we cover, and we plan Teesside visits so window cleaning there is done properly rather than squeezed in. The town's housing runs from Victorian terraces near the centre to large post-war and modern estates on the southern edges, and pure water poles suit all of it.
We clean with filtered, de-ionised water fed up a telescopic pole to a soft brush. The brush loosens traffic film, dust and everyday grime, the rinse carries it off, and the panes dry clear without spots because nothing is dissolved in the water. Frames and sills are washed at the same time, and no detergent touches the glass.
Acklam, Linthorpe and the older streets
Linthorpe and the streets off Linthorpe Road have tall Victorian and Edwardian terraces, many with bay windows rising through two floors and original sash windows that need a gentle hand. The water-fed pole reaches those upper bays from the pavement without a ladder resting on painted timber, and the soft brush is kind to older frames.

Marton, Nunthorpe and Coulby Newham
South of the town centre the housing opens out: 1930s semis in Marton, larger detached houses towards Nunthorpe, and the newer estates of Coulby Newham and Hemlington. Conservatories and extensions are common, and the pole reaches over them to the windows behind, as well as washing the conservatory roof panels themselves.
On these estates the jobs are quicker, but the same details matter: sills scrubbed, frames rinsed, and the glass left to dry spot-free. Shops, offices and other commercial premises across Middlesbrough are cleaned too, on planned visits.
