Commercial gutter cleaning across the North East

Gutters on business premises cleared from the ground with a vacuum, with camera images before and after.

Why business premises can't let gutters block

On a home, an overflowing gutter is a nuisance. On a shop, office or warehouse it can mean water pouring past a customer entrance, damp spreading into stock rooms, or ice forming on a walkway in winter. Larger roofs also collect far more water, so a blockage builds up faster.

Commercial gutters are often long, high and out of sight, which means problems go unnoticed until something leaks inside. Regular clearing keeps rainwater moving off the building and away from the walls.

We are fully insured and work for commercial premises as well as homes, up to 45 miles from our base in Washington.

Vacuum clearing from the ground, without ladders on the building

Our gutter vac clearing uses a powerful vacuum on sectional poles, worked from the ground. Leaves, moss, silt and debris are drawn down the pole into the machine instead of being scooped out by hand at height.

Nothing leans against the gutter, the cladding or the glazing, and nobody needs to walk on the roof. That keeps the job simple to plan on a working site.

Camera images before and after as a maintenance record

A pole camera shows the inside of each run before and after it is cleared, including the outlets into the downpipes. You see exactly what was there and that it has gone.

Those images are useful for facilities managers, landlords and anyone who has to show that building maintenance is being done. Our gutter camera check page explains what the camera can and cannot show.

Shops, offices and retail units

Shopfronts and office entrances often sit right below a gutter line, so an overflow lands where people walk. Parades of units commonly share one long gutter, and a blockage above one unit can spill water outside the next.

We clear the runs you book and tell you if the cause sits further along the parade.

Warehouses and industrial roofs

Large roofs feed large volumes of water into box and valley gutters, and windblown debris from yards and loading areas collects quickly. Our guide on warehouse gutter maintenance covers what tends to block them and how often to check.

Tell us the height of the building and how the gutters are laid out when you get in touch, so we can confirm they can be reached from the ground.

Schools, flats and communal blocks

Schools, blocks of flats and sheltered housing have shared areas below the gutters, and the people using them come first. Ground-based clearing means no ladders across paths or play areas.

For managing agents and residents' associations, the camera images give a clear record of each visit. Blocks with several entrances can be cleared in stages, so one doorway is always free while work goes on above another.

Planning visits around opening hours

We are open seven days a week, so a visit can be planned for a quieter time, before opening, at a weekend or while a school is closed. Let us know when the site is busiest and where we can park.

Many businesses add other work to the same trip, such as commercial exterior cleaning of walls, signage and entrances.

What a commercial gutter visit covers

  • Vacuum clearing of the gutter runs booked
  • Clearing debris from outlets at the top of the downpipes
  • Pole camera images before and after
  • A note of any visible faults, such as split joints
  • Work planned around your opening hours

How a commercial visit is arranged

  1. 1

    Tell us about the site

Send the address, the building type, roughly how high the gutters are and any photos you have, plus the times the site is busiest.

  2. 2

    Quote and timing

We confirm the gutters can be reached from the ground, give you a quote and agree a time that suits your opening hours.

  3. 3

    On the day

We report to whoever is on site, set up away from entrances, clear each run by vacuum and check the outlets.

  4. 4

    Images and notes

You receive the before and after camera images, with a note of anything we spotted, such as a loose bracket or split joint.
