It suits hard outdoor surfaces: block paving, flagged patios, concrete, decking and fencing. Where a surface is too soft or too delicate for that kind of pressure, we do not force it. We soft wash instead, which uses a low pressure water system with specially formulated cleaning products, and tarmac gets our restoration treatment rather than a heavy wash.

The best time to book a wash

Damp months are when green algae and black spotting really take hold on paving, and a slimy driveway or patio is a genuine slip hazard as well as an eyesore. Getting the growth off and the surface treated keeps it under control rather than letting it build year on year.

A clean, re-sanded and sealed driveway also copes better with the wet, because there is less organic matter sitting in the joints holding water against the blocks.

How we carry out the work

    We check what the surface is, how it is laid and what state it is in, so we can set the right pressure and pick the right method before anything gets switched on.

    Clear and prepare

    Loose debris is cleared off and anything that needs protecting around the area is dealt with before washing begins.

    Wash the surface

    A controlled, powerful stream of water lifts the dirt, algae, grime and staining, worked methodically so the finish is even rather than patchy.

    Treat stubborn areas

    Marks that have not moved with the wash, such as stains on block work, get looked at separately so we can try to remedy them.

    Re-sand, treat and seal

    Where it applies, joints are re-sanded and treatment or sealer is applied to help the surface hold its condition for longer.

    Rinse down and tidy up

    The surrounding area is rinsed off and left tidy, and we walk the job with you before we go.
