A modern estate town
Ingleby Barwick grew from farmland into one of the largest housing estates in Europe, and nearly every home dates from the 1980s onwards. The typical house is a modern semi or detached with uPVC windows, an integral garage, and often a conservatory or extension at the back.
That consistency helps us. Gutters are the same height on street after street, so vacuum poles from the ground cover almost every property, and pure water poles reach every window including those over conservatories.
