Estate windows, not a single house type
Billingham includes substantial areas of mid-century housing, with 1950s–70s estates alongside older streets and later additions. Around Low Grange, a front window can overlook an open road while the rear glazing sits behind an extension or enclosed garden. The Wynyard edge and Wolviston bring different plot sizes and surroundings. A useful enquiry describes the actual elevation instead of relying on the estate name to explain the job.
Casement windows, shallow bays and replacement uPVC frames collect dirt in different places. Dust often gathers along the sill lip and in the bottom corners of a frame; cleaning only the middle of the glass leaves those edges conspicuous. Tell us if frames are weathered or if a painted surface is peeling, because a wash can remove dirt but cannot restore a deteriorating finish.
